No Real Threat to Country’s Security at the Moment, Says Petrovska

At this moment, there is no real threat to the security of the country, according to Defence Minister Slavjanka Petrovska. “That is what citizens need to know. We leave nothing to chance,” she said on Tuesday. The Minister added that services were taking additional measures. Answering a question at the 9th NATO student simulation, Petrovska said that a debate had been opened at Monday’s meeting, together with the representatives of intelligence services and Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski. The idea is for the operations team to speed up and improve the coordination of services, as well as of the ones of partner countries. All potential cyber-attack attempts are being followed. Regarding the new law for protection of critical infrastructure, Petrovska said the last public debate would be held Wednesday. After that, the text will be forwarded to procedure.
