Air Data from Measuring Stations Still not Available

Due to the change of the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning’s server, data from the measuring stations about air will not be available to citizens for another approximately ten days. Minister Naser Nuredini apologised on Monday to citizens. However, he added the level was not being hidden, which is why the measures had been introduced. According to the Minister, the main priority is still replacing heating at public facilities. Due to the high air pollution level in the capital, the Public Transport Enterprise said the free public transport measure had been activated. It will last until the “alarming” situation ends, which will be published by the relevant Ministry according to the results of the state monitoring system for quality of ambient air. In the past several days, two construction sites were each fined 12,000 euros for air pollution, following inspection controls, the City of Skopje said.
