MPs with a security certificate are waiting for the deal with Bechtel and ENKA. VMRO-DPMNE said on Monday an additional 196 million euros, at least, will need to be paid over the next five years. In response, the ruling party said Hristijan Mickoski’s party was lying that penalties would be paid if the package of laws in relation to the motorways were not adopted. “Everything Hristijan Mickoski and VMRO-DPMNE touch is wrong and doomed to fail. That is best seen in the Kicevo-Ohrid motorway, which is synonymous with crime and corruption, with kickbacks from tenders at the expense of the country and its citizens,” SDSM MP Mile Talevski stated. PM Dimitar Kovacevski declined to comment additionally. As he pointed out, so far, there have been two briefings which saw questions over the project answered. If necessary, a third one will be held. The Government’s stand is that the deal has a level of confidentiality, but that doesn’t mean someone wants to hide something.
