The President of the Parliament of the Republic of North Macedonia, Talat Xhaferi from Rome announced that together with the Bulgarian delegation they will lay flowers in the Basilica “Santa Maria Maggiore” on Wednesday where there is a memorial plaque in the Macedonian language in honor of St. Cyril. “I cannot prejudge which topics and issues will be discussed at the meeting with the Bulgarian delegation. But, of course, direct communication is welcome and I think it goes in favor of finding possible positive solutions in relation to the processes we are leading,” said Xafferi after the meeting with the president of the House of Representatives of the Italian Republic, Lorenzo Fontana. Xhaferi, according to correspondent from Rome, pointed out that Parliaments are institutions that can communicate freely and more directly and express their relationship in mutual cooperation and communication. The Republic of Italy, as Xhaferi stated after the meeting, is among the ten most present economies in the Republic of North Macedonia, and in that context, it has been established that participation in investments in our country can be improved. The two interlocutors exchanged opinions on geostrategic and general developments in the world as a result of the war in Ukraine. Fontana, as Xhaferi said, reiterated his unreserved support for European integration, and this corresponds to the three-decade bilateral cooperation between North Macedonia and Italy.
