The time qualifier for EU membership regarding 2030, presented at the Bled Forum, is a historic moment, according to Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani.
When it comes to the statement made by French President Emmanuel Macron, Osmani said on Wednesday that France’s Laurence Boone, Minister of State for Europe, attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, had clarified the message to him.
“Macron was talking about speed in terms of that not everyone will join at once, but at different speeds, depending on who will be prepared when, not Europe in layers – in the sense of privileged and less privileged because we will not accept anything less than full-fledged EU membership,” the Foreign Minister stressed.
In response, VMRO-DPMNE said Osmani should admit his term as Minister had been a debacle. The previous day, in an interview with a Slovenia-based TV station, Michel had reiterated his stand that the EU should be ready by 2030 for new enlargement with countries that would meet conditions.
