Monday’s coordination meeting hosted by Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi didn’t see the issue of forming working groups that would agree on an election date raised at all, SDSM Parliamentary Group Coordinator Jovan Mitreski told Kanal 5.
As he reiterated, VMRO-DPMNE hasn’t been participating in the meetings. The two biggest parties are still divided over the elections issue.
VMRO-DPMNE MP Dragan Kovacki said holding the presidential and parliamentary elections simultaneously was in the interest of all citizens.
“We are ready to cooperate and want the legal and constitutional provisions regarding elections to be met,” he stated.
On the other hand, SDSM MP Martin Kostovski stated that the elections would be held in the so-called regular period.
