FM Dimitrov in official visit of Germany

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Dimitrov started his official visit of Germany. The Foreign Minister started his visit with a political briefing with the Parliamentary Group for Foreign Policy of CDU at the German Bundestag on the progress of Macedonia towards integration in NATO and EU. “North Macedonia is the wind of hope and encouragement for EU. We have overcome the differences with our neighbours through the agreements we achieved with Bulgaria and Greece, and we resolved one of the most complicate bilateral issues in Europe, the name issue with Greece. Based on what we achieved in the past two years, today we offer arguments to our German friends in order to secure their support for our integration in the EU. The clear recognition of or efforts and achievements will be additional encouragement for North Macedonia to work on implementation of reforms,” Dimitrov said. The FM also held meetings with the Coordinator of the MP group of CDU Ralph Brinkhaus, with whom he discussed ongoing political processes in Macedonia focusing on the country’s integration in the EU.
