French Proposal to be Discussed at Plenary Session in Parliament

Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi, after holding a coordinative meeting with the coordinators of all MP groups in the Parliament of North Macedonia, decided to put the French proposal for lifting of the Bulgarian veto for Skopje’s accession in EU at a plenary session for discussion and adoption. As Xhaferi informed, in accordance with Article 185 of the Parliamentary Rules of Procedure, the Speaker delivers the information in the form it was received and is not authorised to tap into its contents, nor to return it to the one that proposed it, in this case the Government of North Macedonia. PS Xhaferi did not say at which session the proposal will be discussed. A plenary session is scheduled for Monday, but with only point of daily order being the state budget rebalance. In meantime, Deputy PM for European Affairs Bojan Maricic will inform the government over the remarks by the parties over the contents of the proposal so they can add to it the information required by them, which in the current document are listed as references only.
