Greek PM Wishes for Successful Name Process

The neighboring country should first meet its obligations arising from the agreement and then, in January or February, we will hold talks with our coalition partner in order to move the process forward, said Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras in reference to the opposite stance with junior coalition partner Panos Kammenos over the name deal. “Now we are waiting to see if the neighboring country will manage to fulfill the obligations arising from the Prespa agreement and I personally wish this to succeed, because it is a historic intervention that solves long-standing problems in our foreign policy. When this happens, we will hold talks with our coalition partner, sometime in January or February, to see how we can move the process forward, as stipulated in the agreement itself,” Tsipras told a press conference at the NATO Summit in Brussels on Thursday.
