Kasami: Misdemeanour Charges Unreasonable

Tetovo Mayor and BESA leader Bilall Kasami said on Wednesday the misdemeanour charges over the developments during Kosovan PM Albin Kurti’s visit were unreasonable. According to him, iconography such as that during the concert was present before, but nobody was penalised.

“After police had summoned me, tens of friends and activities sent to me around 10 videos where there is the same iconography,” Kasami said at a press-conference in Tetovo.

In his view, Kurti’s visit is positive and has moved things forward, which is why DUI insisted on the meeting with the Kosovan Minister of Transport, where there was a discussion on the Tetovo-Prizren Road.

Commenting on that meeting, Democratic Movement leader Izet Mexhiti said DUI officials should first complete the two kilometres of the Blace-Skopje Road that had for years seen a standstill and then fight to get credit for the Tetovo-Prizren Road.
