Maricic: Important to Stay on European Path Despite Challenges

Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European Affairs, Bojan Maricic, met with members of the European Parliament, where they confirmed through an open and constructive conversation that despite all the challenges facing Europe, the European Union must remain active in the region and in North Macedonia. “Progress is possible, we believe that there is a solution, but European leadership and political will on both sides must be shown. The European Parliament can influence the policy of the Union and we expect the support we receive to be realized in action,” Maricic said at the meeting. MEPs at the meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister reaffirmed the commitment to enlarge the Union with the region and stressed that they expect the debate in the EU to continue on the issue and the importance of enlargement, for the future of North Macedonia and the region in the EU to be confirmed.
