According to VMRO-DPMNE President Hristijan Mickoski, the halt on North Macedonia’s EU path is a result of the “bad and unreasonable” policies employed by PM Zoran Zaev and his party, SDSM. As he said at a press-conference on Friday, Zaev and Deputy PM for European Affairs Nikola Dimitrov are demonstrating “green market” diplomacy, which according to Mickoski, is due to the ignorance when it comes to diplomatic policy and defending state interest. VMRO-DPMNE will propose a resolution to Parliament in Skopje defining the country’s positions in the negotiations with Bulgaria. “The resolution will represent a red framework for the Government,” the VMRO-DPMNE leader stressed. According to SDSM, however, the Macedonian language and identity are confirmed and recognised, which is why there is no need for any debate on those issues, especially not in the frames of Parliament. On Sunday, VMRO-DPMNE MP Antonijo Milososki presented the draft-resolution, calling for unification of Parliament over the text.
