Mickoski Criticises Kovacevski over Comments on Pardon Draft-Law

Commenting on PM Dimitar Kovacevski’s stand regarding amendments to the Pardon Draft-Law, VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski asked on Friday whether the PM read texts of draft-laws adopted at Government sessions.

For now, it’s still not known how the potential adoption will affect Haki Aziri and Fejzi Aziri, convicted to nine and 15 years in prison in the Monster case (which concerns the 2012 Smilkovci killings), respectively, for assisting the perpetrator after the commission of the crime.

On Sunday, Mickoski said his party would leave Parliament if the ruling majority tried to circumvent parliamentary procedures to adopt the Pardon Draft-Law. In response, the Justice Ministry said it was not true that the so-called EU flag procedure would be used.
