In an interview with Sitel TV, PM and SDSM President Zoran Zaev says that he considers sitting at home and not voting to be support for his party’s opponent. “A lot of voters of ours stayed at home. We are not defeated by VMRO-DPMNE in the first round in Skopje and in the other municipalities,” he notes. According to Zaev, VMRO-DPMNE has fewer votes than it did, but the number of votes for SDSM fell multiple times. “People stayed at home for various reasons,” Zaev explains. As he adds, one part of free-minded citizens or people who have no knowledge at all when it comes to politics are saying to themselves that they will vote in the second round, while another part “gave us a yellow card” because of dissatisfaction.
