The Prime Minister of Macedonia Zoran Zaev met Monday the Head of the OSCE/ODIHR Mission to Macedonia Jan Petersen. As reported by the Government of Macedonia via a press release, the interlocutors spoke about the upcoming referendum on the Prespa Agreement and Macedonia’s integration in EU and NATO. “We are committed to implementing a regular, transparent and credible process. The referendum is an opportunity for the citizens to express their stance upon this matter, but it also represents a responsibility for them to secure the country’s future,” Zaev told Petersen. Interlocutors agreed over the importance of the OSCE/ODIHR report for the coming referendum, taking into consideration that Macedonia expects the start of EU accession talks.
