VMRO-DPMNE and SDSM still Divided over Early Elections Issue

“A resignation right away, swift elections, and citizens saving themselves from the further sinking, crime, and corruption. That’s what we’re offering to this government,” VMRO-DPMNE President Hristijan Mickoski stated on Wednesday. In his view, only swift elections that will result in a firm and stable government will enable the serious challenges that lie ahead for the country to be faced. “The elections are the light at the end of the tunnel and path of changes that will be complete only then. The swift elections will need to provide a government that will employ policies, that will be resolving problems,” the opposition leader noted. On the other hand, SDSM doesn’t believe elections should be held. “SDSM and the ruling coalition won more votes for councillors than the opposition,” the party stated.
