Siljanovska Davkova Sworn in as President

On Sunday, Gordana Siljanovska Davkova was sworn in as President. During the ceremony in Parliament, however, she didn’t use the country’s constitutional name.

In her solemn speech, she said she would be the President of all citizens and respect the legislative house. Siljanovska Davkova added that women could develop politics as an art of the impossible, not only of the possible.

“However, we have an obligation to help men too and follow the rhythm of nature,” she stressed.

Siljanovska Davkova expressed particular gratitude to VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski because, as she explained, he was the only one that believed she would become the President.

Afterwards, Siljanovska Davkova went to Villa Vodno, from where she took over the position from Pendarovski.
