VMRO-DPMNE’s Mickoski Comments on Several Topics

VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski said on Tuesday he’d been informed that the government was preparing a new law protecting business secrets. In his view, the law is related to the Corridors project.

“I think that’s related to a project they were saying was a business secret, while we were saying it was not. That’s the project for construction of the VIII and X-d sections. There, they’ve been literally caught committing serious crime and are now trying to cover that up and I assume in this rush, they will adopt such a law,” he said on Tuesday.

According to Mickoski, the only way in which such a law can be adopted is only by the ruling majority abusing the so-called EU flag. Regarding US Ambassador Angela Aggeler’s stand on the judiciary, presented for Sitel, Mickoski said he backed it, encouraging Supreme Court judges not to fall for political pressures.

Asked about the spat with his predecessor as VMRO-DPMNE leader, Nikola Gruevski, and whether he expected the ex-PM to have an impact in the elections, that is, to cost VMRO- DPMNE votes by people who traditionally supported the party, Mickoski stated that he was focused on the responsibility he needed to have after the election victory.
