Poll: 41.5 % Would Vote “Yes” in 30 September Referendum

The Macedonian Centre for International Cooperation (MCIC) conducted a poll concerning the upcoming referendum about the Name Issue Agreement between Macedonia and Greece. According to the results, 41.5 % of the interviewees said that they would vote “yes” on the referendum for the question “Are you in favour of EU and NATO membership by accepting the Agreement between the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Greece?”, whereas 35.1 % said they would vote “No”. 80.4 % of the interviewees said they support Macedonia’s integration in EU, while 79.9 % said they support the integration in NATO. Around 20 % said they had read and understood the Macedonia-Greece Name Issue Agreement. MCIC conducted the poll from 24 July to 1 August 2018, to a representative sample of 1,026 interviewees, all over 18 years of age.
