No-confidence Motion against Interior Minister Spasovski Rejected

Parliament rejected on Monday the no-confidence motion against Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski filed by Alliance for Albanians and Alternative MPs. 60 MPs voted against, 10 were in favour, while there were no abstentions. “The motion is strange because it concerns the successful operation to arrest former Security and Counter-Intelligence Administration Director Saso Mijalkov,” Spasovski said. According to him, the motion represents a genuine picture of the opposition’s distorted system of values because there has been a series of successful police operations over the past period. SDSM explained its MPs would not deliver addresses because the motion is groundless. VMRO-DPMNE MPs left the session. They added that they would file a no-confidence motion against Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi because he had not accepted their list of speakers. The Parliament Speaker responded by saying that the submission had been belated.
