US Army General Cavoli Visits Macedonia

President Stevo Pendarovski held a meeting on Tuesday with Commanding General of the US Army Europe and Africa Christopher Cavoli, who is paying an official visit to the country. At the meeting, the interlocutors exchanged opinions over the bilateral cooperation between Macedonia and the US in the field of defence. President Pendarovski said that the membership in NATO has created for Macedonia additional opportunities for improvement of the defence capacities and the cooperation with the armies of the other member-states, and thanked General Cavoli for all the assistance the US Army has provided to the Macedonian Army (ARM). General Cavoli also held a meeting with Defence Minister Radmila Sekerinska and ARM Chief of Staff, General-Major Vasko Gjurcinovski. General Cavoli gave positive remarks for the development of the capacities of ARM since the accession of Macedonia in NATO, adding that with its participation in these initiatives for cooperation, Macedonia sets a good example for the rest of the region.
