Government to Discuss Bomb Threats at Session on Wednesday

The Government of North Macedonia will discuss at the session scheduled for Wednesday the situation with the numerous false threats for planted bombs in different objects and institutions in Skopje and other cities. It is expected for the government to recommend the National Committee for Prevention of Terrorism and Violent Extremism to conduct changes to the protocols for dealing with reports for planted bombs. From the government they assure the citizens that the security of all citizens is guaranteed, even though the bomb threats are sent from e-mails registered abroad. “It is almost impossible to trace the location from which these threats are addressed, because most of them are conducted through the use of virtual private networks (VPN) hosted from abroad. When it comes to our responses, all protocols must be properly implemented without any exceptions. I call upon all citizens to not create panic because we guarantee the security of each and every one of them, but I also advise them to not engage in activities which create or support these threats,” PM Dimitar Kovacevski said at a press conference.
