PM Kovacevski Comments on Bulgaria-Related Matters

Asked about the announcements according to which Hristijan Pendikov, the beaten-up secretary of the Tsar Boris III Bulgarian club in Ohrid, will soon get a flat, Bulgarian citizenship, and possibly a personal security detail, PM Dimitar Kovacevski said on Tuesday that Bulgaria’s authorities could issue a citizenship document or gift a flat to anybody, while North Macedonia couldn’t interfere in their decisions and activities, “just like nobody can interfere in our country if we decide to that for some citizen.” Regarding the Bulgarian authorities’ stands that they will not tolerate violence against Bulgarians in North Macedonia and that their rights have to be guaranteed, Kovacevski pointed out that the rights of all citizens in North Macedonia whose self-awareness is different than that of the majority had been raised to the highest level possible, when compared to other countries. As far as the marking of Goce Delcev’s birthday is concerned, he praised, as he said, measures taken by relevant institutions on time.
