EU Ambassador to North Macedonia David Geer said on Wednesday that the EU accession processes must be done with consent from all political parties. “We maintain good contacts with parties both from the government and from the opposition that claim to be dedicated to the European future of this country, having in mind that the implementation of reforms depends upon the cooperation between the divided parties. In all our discussions we always point out what we think is the best strategic interest of your country, and that it should join the EU as soon as possible. I am certain that the country can improve reforms, and I am strongly convinced that the accession in the EU is a goal that can be achieved soon,” Geer said, underlining the importance of the reforms, and that without efficient judiciary the country cannot progress on its way towards EU membership.
