Kovacevski: Radev Should Focus on Reforms in His Own Country

PM Dimitar Kovacevski refused to comment on the latest statements by Bulgarian
president Rumen Radev concerning the resolution the German Bundestag adopted in
support of the EU integration of North Macedonia and protection of the Macedonian
language and identity. Radev said earlier, commenting on the resolution, that North
Macedonia failed to learn the its lessons, and that it lobbies with EU member-states in
attempt to conceal its disrespect for the human rights of the Bulgarians living there. “I
haven’t heard what he said. North Macedonia has very clearly defined positions when it
comes the processes for integration in the EU, as well as a NATO member. We are a
country that adopted its foreign policy to that of NATO and the EU completely, and every
year we get reports from the EU concerning our progress in the implementation of
reforms. Henceforth, I think a president of another country should focus more on the
reforms in their own country,” Kovacevski said.
