On Wednesday, Deputy PM for European Affairs Bojan Maricic held a meeting with US Ambassador Angela Aggeler. They discussed the North Macedonia-US bilateral relations, EU integration path, regional cooperation, and current political developments in the region. Maricic briefly informed the Ambassador about the course of the screening process, about the drawing up of the Roadmaps, and about his expectations on the eve of getting the screening Reports. In that regard, he pointed to the following steps that should be taken for swift progress in the process, underling that US support for North Macedonia’s future will be significant. The US political and development support and assistance aiming at strengthening democracy, the judicial reforms, and the country’s economy and energy sector greatly helps and contributes to North Macedonia in terms of it achieving EU standards as soon as possible, the Deputy PM assessed.
