According to the latest survey conducted by the International Republican Institute (IRI), President Stevo Pendarovski is the politician citizens trust the most, with full trust from 12% and partial trust from 26% of respondents. Ex-PM Nikola Gruevski is second (11% full and 19% partial trust), while VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski is third (8% and 21% partial trust). The survey also shows increased support for EU membership, low level of trust in the rule of law, and differences about the direction of movement in the rule of law at a local and national level. Asked whether they supported EU integration, 79% of adult respondents said they did, which represents an increase of 6% when compared to last year’s survey.
