PM Kovacevski Condemns Unrest in Kosovo

PM Dimitar Kovacevski has condemned the unrest in Kosovo. Such acts of violence, he assessed on Monday, bring nothing good to the region. According to the PM, Sunday’s developments are a result of an agenda by some people who want to see the region again as a region of unrest and quarrelling between neighbours.

Kovacevski’s stand is that the security situation in North Macedonia is not endangered as a result of the developments. Also on Monday, Democratic Union leader Pavle Trajanov, who served as the Interior Minister from November 1998 to December 1999, described the situation in Kosovo as critical, adding that the conflict not spreading was key. In his view, the EU is powerless to solve the situation. The former Interior Minister believes that both Belgrade and Pristina are to blame.
