Presidential Race: Procedure to Collect Signatures Starts

The procedure to collect signatures for the presidential race (10,000 signatures from citizens or 30 from MPs) started on Friday. University professor Biljana Vankovska, endorsed by Levica, asked for support from citizens, saying that the state had an obligation to make major and minor parties equal.

“They should give us an equal opportunity to present ourselves and our programmes, our knowledge, our visions from Macedonia because we’re part of a race that will not be clean and that hasn’t been clean since Day 1. she stated.

The candidate endorsed by ZNAM, Maksim Dimitrievski, who’s the leader of the party, levelled criticism at the State Election Commission (SEC), stressing that there was little information about where its offices were and that the number of offices was small.

The candidate endorsed by Bosniak Democratic Union, Mersiha Smailovic, stated that the presidential candidacy was a true challenge and a test for democratic awareness.
