PM Mickoski Discusses Energy-Related Topics in Address to EPC Meeting

In his address to the European Political Community (EPC) meeting, on Thursday, PM Hristijan Mickoski said regional cooperation was needed in the field of energy because all countries from the region and Europe should find an alternative to Russian gas and it being exploited for political influence.

Mickoski said his country was working in an accelerated manner on energy. As he added, North Macedonia can be a significant factor when it comes to transit.

“We’re speeding up the construction of an interconnector with Greece and will soon start the construction of an interconnector with Serbia. With that, Central European countries, too, would have better access to gas from Azerbaijan, Qatar, Kazakhstan, and the US. Transit through my country benefits Europe,” the PM noted.
