On Thursday, the Supreme Court made a decision regarding the ex-KLA member Blerim Ramadani extradition case, abolishing the Criminal Court’s ruling and ordering a repeat decision-making procedure and action.
The Supreme Court said that the Criminal Council of the Criminal Court’s Department of Organised Crime and Corruption, while it had been making the decision determining that legal assumptions for extradition hadn’t been met, had failed to provide an explanatory note over the reasons it had been guided by when it had accepted for the procedure initiated according to Article 75 paragraph 1 of the Law on International Cooperation in Criminal Matters, as the shortened procedure, to be carried out as the regular procedure in line with Article 68 relating to Article 51 of the same Law.
