Telma: History Commission Members Found about Mickoski’s Stand from Media

Regarding PM Hristijan Mickoski’s stand that it is logical for the formation of the new government to result also in a new composition of the North Macedonia-Bulgaria Joint Commission on Historical Affairs and that the body has failed to live up to expectations and to be a protector of the Macedonian people’s interests, Telma reported on Monday that members had found out about that position from media.

So far, Telma has learned, that members have neither been summoned nor consulted by the new government over their engagement and work. Another issue is that the engagement of some of them expires in several weeks.

The only meeting the Commission, that is, the head of North Macedonia’s team, Dragi Gjorgiev, had with Foreign Minister Timco Mucunski was at the start of August, upon the body’s request, aiming to brief the Minister on its work and what had been done up to that point.

However, Telma reported that the meeting hadn’t seen any discussion on staff decisions and changes.
