DUI Leader Ahmeti Meets Bulgarian Ambassador Radukov

DUI leader Ali Ahmeti held a meeting with Zhelyazko Radukov, at which, as his party said, the former assured the Bulgarian Ambassador that close cooperation with regards to the European future and good-neighbourliness would continue even more.

“The EU-approved negotiating framework is clear and must be implemented in order for us to proceed on our path towards Brussels. The Bulgarian community in North Macedonia is a reality and should be included in the Constitution. Nobody will lose as a result of that. On the contrary, everybody will win. Exactly proceeding on the EU path is a priority for DUI. Therefore, the constitutional changes must be made right away, because citizens expect us to become part of the EU,” DUI added in the press-release.

Reiterating his party’s stand on the Ohrid Agreement, Good-Neighbourliness Treaty, and Prespa Agreement, Ahmeti said he would get engaged in terms of supporting and implementing them.

At the meeting, the DUI leader also levelled fierce criticism at the “government with monoethnic legitimacy” and Constitutional Court’s abolition of the Balancer tool. VLEN, he added, has given up on equality and humiliated ethnic Albanians only due to its personal and “corrupt” motives.
