“The Government hasn’t so far received a draft-law on equitable representation,” Spokesperson Marija Miteva said on Monday.
According to her, the matter is open, while there will be a discussion within the ruling coalition, as well as a broad debate.
Miteva reiterated PM Hristijan Mickoski’s stand that the draft-law, before its adoption by Parliament, should be first sent to the Venice Commission.
The same day, VLEN co-leader Arben Taravari stated that a Venice Commission opinion would be welcome, adding that he expected a positive one. Another VLEN co-leader, Izet Mexhiti, agrees with the stand that the text should be sent to the Commission.
