“VMRO belongs to the Macedonian people inseparably and unfalteringly because the organisation was the people from which the leaders, popular heroes who would bow before the altar of the struggle for freedom, come out. The struggle has followed us to this day, which is why I say that the essence of our and their, of the historical VMRO, struggle is literally the same,” PM Hristijan Mickoski said at the solemn academy held on Wednesday to mark Macedonian Revolutionary Struggle Day.
As he added, both left-wing and right-wing parties should celebrate 23 October because VMRO-DPMNE is the history of all citizens, including those part of left-wing parties, too.
Mickoski said that unfortunately, all governments since independence had faced during their respective time in power some historical or national issues. Regarding the EU path, he said the country would have joined the organisation a long time ago if it hadn’t been for bilateral problems.
