The water supply issue in Skopje was resolved on Saturday.
“After just several hours without water, the problem was solved even more quickly than had been planned,” Mayor Danela Arsovska said.
160 Vodovod i Kanalizacija (Water Supply) PE employees, as well as 150 persons for administrative support, were part of the activities to rehabilitate and modernise the main water supply.
According to Arsovska, the problem with weak pressure at certain locations, as well as the issue of frequent bursting of pipes, have been solved. She also added that accusations from certain political parties that she would leave the capital without water for several days had been rendered pointless.
