At a press-conference on Monday, Constitutional Court President Darko Kostadinovski said 2024 had been a year of major reforms and political pressures. “Everyone who thinks that the rule of law and legal state will be obstructed through political manipulations, pressures, and influence shouldn’t bother”, he said.
Kostadinovski also sent a message to citizens, saying they shouldn’t worry because the Court would continue to safeguard the Constitution, as well as civil liberties and rights, uncompromisingly.
“I am loyal only to the Constitution and to nobody else”, the Court’s President emphasised.
Regarding the Law on Languages issue, he said the preparatory session would be held from 19 to 21 March 2025. Regarding the paper concerning the 2023 Criminal Code changes, he said that, based on last information, it was at the closing stage.
