Тhe Kocani Basic Court has accepted the appeals and replaced the detention measure for ex-Kocani Mayors Nikolco Ilijev and Ratko Dimitrovski, and ex-State Market Inspectorate Director Aneta Simeska Dimoska with house arrest ones.
The appeals by other 14 suspects in the Kocani fire case have been rejected, the Court said on Wednesday.
Тhe same day, media reported that in the frames of the same case, police had searched the home and other companies owned by the Pulse nightclub’s owner, Dejan Jovanov, and the premises of the Inspectorate in Kocani, seizing computers, mobile phones, and financial documentation. Certain items were also seized from Jovanov’s vehicle and hospitality venues.
Though Jovanov’s wife and daughter had on Tuesday been summoned for informative talks to a police station in Skopje, officially, there is no information whether they are suspects or witnesses in the process.
Parties continued to level accusations over the case. SDSM asked whether the Public Revenue Office had the obligation to shut down the nightclub considering its account had been blocked for as many as 217 days. DUI again said a dangerous game was being played.
