VMRO-DPMNE again Urges Filipce to Give Answers to Questions about ‘Golden Visa’ Issue, SDSM Responds

VMRO-DPMNE has continued to urge SDSM leader Venko Filipce to answer questions about the Dubai “golden visa” issue.

“Filipce’s silence has been thunderous. For three months already, he’s been hiding and running away from an answer to the question as to how he’s obtained a golden visa. In his life, Filipce has worked as a doctor, Health Minister, and MP, but with the pay of those jobs, it’s hard to get a golden visa, especially since we know that such a visa is obtained on the basis of investments, with the minimum investment being over 500,000 dollars. Hence, the question as to how has Filipce gotten the money to invest in Dubai”, said Valentin Manasievski, member of the ruling party’s Central Committee.

He also asked whether the SDSM leader, together with ex-party leader and former PM Zoran Zaev had invested in a 50-storey building in Dubai by using money “stolen” from taxpayers.

In response, SDSM said that Filipce’s visa hadn’t been obtained on any grounds related to investments or ownership of real estate in the United Arab Emirates. The opposition party’s stand is that VMRO-DPMNE has used lies to distract public attention from its “incompetence” to do any work for citizens.
