In the frames of the activities against the Bellanoce-Baron group, following searches by police, four people have been detained, while a major quantity of marijuana has been found in a suspect’s home.
The operation has been carried out in the frames of the Bunker case, following the securing of evidence in the investigative proceedings against the group.
On Wednesday, the Prosecutor’s Office for Prosecution of Organised Crime and Corruption stated that in July 2023, on the territory of North Macedonia and Greece, instigated and ordered by a previous suspect (the group’s organiser), reconnaissance activities had been taken with regards to a damaged party’s location and securing means to commit the crime, that is, “in Greece, a member of the opposing organised criminal group of Grcec, was killed”.
In May 2024, the Office added, outside a facility on Nikola Karev Boulevard (aka the Plastic Good Vendors’ Street), two suspects murdered a person and, while leaving the scene, opened fire on a vehicle parked nearby as well, injuring other persons, one of whom died. A detention measure proposal will be filed against three suspects, while the fourth will face one on measures of precaution.
