On Wednesday, Public Security Bureau Director Aleksandar Janev, asked by Telma regarding the issue of current police chiefs from Kocani and Stip, stated that all requested documents, but also others, had been handed over the to the relevant institution with regards to the Kocani fire investigation, the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office for Prosecution of Organised Crime and Corruption.
Also, he pointed out that the Internal Control Sector was checking all officers with regards to involvement in party activities. Among them are two chiefs that, according to photos on social media posted by a VMRO-DPMNE’s committee, would go to HQ meetings and attend motivational speeches by MPs, according to a Telma report.
Also on Wednesday, asked about Aleksandar Nacev, PM and VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski stated that the new suspect in the Kocani case hadn’t been active within the party for a long time.
“Nacev was part of the VMRO-DPMNE-led government in 2016-17. He held some position in that period of time. That’s the last thing I know about and associate with Nacev”, he stated.
When it comes to Rubicon, the security agency of which, according to suspicions, Nacev is the real owner, it has multiple tenders for security at schools and state organs in Skopje, Kocani, and Prilep, while it has won all tender procedures since VMRO-DPMNE came to power.
