SDSM leader Venko Filipce has responded to Hristijan Mickoski’s comments, made by the PM and VMRO-DPMNE leader at the ruling party’s event in Bitola on Tuesday.
According to Filipce, Mickoski is trying to set up an authoritarian dictatorship in the country.
“VMRO, the National Liberation Struggle, and ASNOM are the genesis of fighters against dictatorships, authoritarian regimes, and Vrhovism. Being authoritarian means being a Vrhovist. In no way does it mean being a patriot. Vrhovism in Mickoski’s method of rule is the greatest treason a Macedonian can commit”, the opposition leader said on Wednesday.
In response, however, VMRO-DPMNE said Filipce should, instead of “cheering against Macedonia”, finally come to terms with the “the fact that the time of fake press-conferences and shallow phrases” had ended.
