According to SDSM, the Justice Ministry is sabotaging the Reform Agenda.
“Unfortunately, the VMRO-DPMNE-led government has not stopped demonstrating shocking unpreparedness and s complete absence of awareness about the need to urgently implement the Reform Agenda, especially when it comes to judicial reforms, on which, as all of us know, the quality of our life directly depends. This not only halts everyday life, but also directly compromises our European perspective”, the opposition party’s Vice-President, Ana Cupeska, stated on Wednesday.
SDSM, she added, has offered concrete assistance and serious expertise related to the implementation of state priorities related to the reform process.
“That was confirmed also at the leaders’ meeting in April”, Cupeska noted.
In response, however, the Justice Ministry stated that SDSM had continued the path of destruction and creating disinformation at the expense of citizens.
“We, as the Ministry of Justice, remain omitted to reforms not in the interest of individuals or narrow groups, but rather because we owe that to citizens. We hope SDSM, too, will one day be able to see that.
However, the fact itself that the “leader” of the working group of SDSM for reforms in the judiciary is a political scientist, not a lawyer, indicates undisputedly that it’s about purely political remarks and empty demagoguery, not about stands founded from a legal standpoint. The work of the Ministry, as has been the case so far, remains open and transparent to all”, the institution added.
