SDSM has responded to PM Hristijan Mickoski’s comments on the Macedonian identity and language issue on the eve of the EP’s plenary session on Rapporteur Thomas Waitz’s draft-report.
“Hristijan Mickoski is the biggest enemy of the Macedonian language, culture, and identity. For narrow-political interests, he has reopened the debate on the Macedonian language at the EP, even though the matter was closed and language defined as the only Macedonian language for the Macedonian people.
Mickoski cannot point the finger at anybody when it comes to the defeat Macedonia is suffering again in Brussels. Precisely him and his friend, [Bulgarian MEP] Andrey Kovatchev, with whom they are working jointly to block the European perspective of Macedonian citizens, are to blame for this situation”, the opposition party said on Thursday.
