VMRO-DPMNE will endorse mayoral candidates of both ZNAM and VLEN in the first round of the local elections, according to the ruling party’s leader, PM Hristijan Mickoski.
He said on Tuesday talks on mutual support in the election process with both partners were going in a good direction.
VMRO-DPMNE and ZNAM will have separate candidate lists for council seats, while, in those municipalities where they will decide to jointly support a candidate, neither will present an own one. The same principle will be used with regards to VLEN, Mickoski stressed.
Regarding SDSM, it will not endorse mayoral candidates in municipalities with a predominantly ethnic Albanian population.
