Regarding the outdoor fire situation, the Interior Ministry has said three juveniles were detained on 9 July near the Ajvatovski Rid location near the settlement of Ilinden.
Telma has learned that they it’s about two citizens of England and one citizen of Poland (who’s of North Macedonia descent). In a backpack they were carrying, police found two bottles, each containing 1.5 litres of petrol, two firecrackers, a lighter, and liquid glue.
The Prosecutor’s Office has said that after the conversation with them, they were released, adding that authorities are continuing to secure evidence to check whether they’re connected to the fire in question or had intent to commit another crime. The critical fires have been put under control, Telma has reported.
