Kicevo Mayor Fatmir Dehari has been charged with unscrupulous operation within the service and endangering the environment and the nature with waste.
According to authorities, by failing to conduct due supervision, starting in 2020, he worked against the laws concerning waste management and environmental protection, allowed an illegal landfill covering multiple thousand square meters to be formed in a residential zone in Kicevo.
Regarding the landfill, he would task employees with storing, leaving, or throwing away waste matters there, that is, with acting in a manner that changes the quality of air, soil, water or watercourse to a point that that can worsen living conditions of people or animals and plants, thus endangering their existence.
