Cair Mayor Visar Ganiu has said Skopje Mayor Danela Arsovska is making false claims about the issue of illegal structures in his Municipality. As he pointed out on Wednesday, Arsovska is manipulating and acting on directives from DUI.
Ganiu refuted her accusations, saying the illegal structures had been inherited.
“For all those acts, my lawyers are working on there being lawsuits about lies she is telling. When the first law on legalisation was adopted in Macedonia, there were 460,000 facilities at that time. One cannot look for those 460,000 on three square kilometres. After the end of the deadline, in 2011, there are minutes within the Association of Local Self-Government Units, according to which 130,000 structures were built in Macedonia after 2011”, the Cair Mayor stressed, adding that there were five municipalities in the capital with more illegal structures than his, but Arsovska had been only dealing with Cair.
The Skopje Mayor, who believes there should be a registry of buildings that will be checked from a seismic standpoint, told 24 TV regarding Cair that the documents, which were already in the hands of relevant organs, told the whole story.
