VMRO-DPMNE has called on Ljupco Kocevski to resign as Prosecutor-General as a result of the successful no-confidence motion against him.
“We call on Kocevski to show an ounce of virtue and not wait even one hour, but rather to receive the message of Parliament and will of the people through the vote, and resign”, ruling party MP Brane Petrusevski said on Wednesday.
He added that SDSM’s decision not to vote in favour showed why nobody from the party was behind bars even though there was a series of procedures.
“It’s now also clear who’s muddying the waters regarding Kocani”, Petrusevski noted.
On the other hand, SDSM stated that it was obvious PM Hristijan Mickoski wanted a Prosecutor-General that would be under his control.
