The 1st Deputy PM and Environment Minister, Izet Mexhiti, and Social Policy, Demography, and Youth Minister Fatmir Limani will be endorsed by VLEN in the Cair and Kicevo mayoral races, respectively, while Bilall Kasami will be supported for another term as Tetovo Mayor.
Mexhiti served as Cair Mayor from 2005 to 2017, but, at that time, he was part of DUI. Now, that party will endorse ex-Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani in Cair.
In Struga, VLEN will endorse businessperson Mendi Qyra as an independent candidate, while in Skopje, its candidate will be Bashkim Bakiu, head of the Clinical Centre’s General Services Directorate.
In Zelino, Blerim Sejdiu will try to secure another mayoral term, while the other candidates that have so far been determined are also: Blerim Islami, a teacher, for Dolneni, Haqim Ramadani, head of the Local Self-Government Inspectorate, for Brvenica, Feti Abazi for Bogovinje, Daut Beqiri for Aracinovo, Regional Development Bureau Director Daut Memishi for Tetovo, Nexhmedin Sadiku, Director of the Oil Reserves Agency, for Lipkovo, Public Revenue Office Deputy Director Fisnik Mela for Debar, and Nomagas head Muhamed Elmazi for Saraj.
